It can be time-consuming to continuously create elements and add content to them. To curb these tedious tasks, Readz has introduced many tools to help you streamline the building process. One of these great tools is the ability to copy and paste content from your computer to your publication and from one Readz page to another. Pasting new content Rather than having to drag and drop elements onto the page, you can now just copy and paste, and the system will create the specified element for you. Text To quickly add text to a Readz page, simply copy the text from your document. While in the Readz page-builder, paste via CONTROL+V (PC users) or COMMAND+V (Mac users). A textbox element and the text you copied will automatically appear on the page. You can then use Styles to quickly style the text. Images To quickly add an image to a Readz page, locate the image file on your computer. The image should be saved as a JPEG, PNG, or GIF file type. Drag the image file onto the Readz page builder. An image element will automatically appear on the page with the image you selected. You can do this with more than one image at a time. Videos You can copy the URL of a YouTube or Vimeo video, and paste it into your page. The Readz platform will automatically create a video element with your video configured. iframe If you’d like to create an iframe on your page, copy the URL of a website and paste it into a Readz page. An iframe element will be created with the link to the URL you just copied. Javascript Readz supports javascript. If you’d like to copy and paste a javascript element into the Readz platform, copy the javascript code starting with and ending with . Paste that onto a Readz page. A script element will automatically be created with the code placed inside.
Pasting existing content Copying existing elements from one page to another page is very easy with Readz. This helps users save time. Oftentimes, many pages will share the same layout, or share certain elements. Headers, footers, and textboxes are examples of repeated elements throughout a Readz project. Instead of having to build these elements every time a new page is created, you can simply copy the elements and paste them throughout. First, you will need to select the element(s) you wish to copy. If you need to copy and paste multiple elements, you can select multiple elements at once by pressing CONTROL + left-mouse click (for PC users) or COMMAND + left-mouse click for mac users. Another alternative is to hold down left-click on the mouse and encompass the elements you wish to multi-select. Either method helps you quickly and easily select many elements at once regardless of the complexity of your page. Once the elements are selected, press CONTROL + C (mac users can press COMMAND + C), and navigate to the page you want to paste on. You can paste on a page within the same project, a different project or even a different publication. To paste those elements, press CONTROL + V (mac users can press COMMAND + V).

*Tip 1: Always check other device versions after pasting elements. You don't want to end up organizing Phone Version after you had pasted multiple elements.

*Tip 2: When you paste an element on Desktop Version, the element will appear on the same x & y-axis for the other device versions.
